Torque & test. Proven before it’s pressured.
Every connection made up to spec and proven to hold, up to 20,000 psi working pressure, with testing run remotely so nobody stands next to the line.

What torque & test does
Before a frac or flowback job, every bolted connection on the wellhead, frac stack and flowline has to be made up to the right torque and proven to hold pressure. A single leaking flange at high pressure is a safety and a schedule problem.
Torque & test crews torque each connection to its specification, then pressure test the assembly in stages, hold it, watch for leaks and document the results before the job goes live.
How the job runs
Step by step.
- 1
Review the spec
Confirm connection sizes, ratings and torque values for the job.
- 2
Torque to spec
Make up each bolted connection to its specified torque.
- 3
Pressure test in stages
Bring the assembly up to test pressure step by step, remotely.
- 4
Hold and monitor
Hold pressure and watch for any drop or leak.
- 5
Document and release
Record the results and hand the assembly over for the job.

FAQ
Torque & test questions.
Why torque and test before a frac?
High-pressure pumping puts every connection under stress. Torquing to spec and proving each one holds pressure catches leaks before they become incidents or downtime.
What pressure do you test to?
Our torque & test equipment is rated to 20,000 psi working pressure. Test pressures follow the job and equipment ratings.
Is testing done remotely?
Yes. TCES runs pressure testing remotely so crews are not standing next to pressurized iron.
